When will I know that you have received my application materials?
We will send a notice to acknowledge the receipt of your application. Please understand that it can often take two to six weeks for us to receive applications from other countries. After we receive the application, it will take at least four to six weeks for us to process it. If you notice that any of your information is incorrect on your acknowledgement notice, please contact Undergraduate Admissions.
How can I check on the status of my application immediately?
To check your application status online, you just need your applicant identification number or social security number, and your date of birth. If you do not have a social security number, you will receive your applicant identification number in the application acknowledgement notice that you receive from Undergraduate Admissions.
After the admissions committee decides to academically admit me, what happens to my application?
In addition to a review of academic credentials, all international applicants must pass an English proficiency and financial review process. No student can be fully admitted without passing all three of these reviews. Once you have been fully admitted, we will issue an
I-20 (Certificate of Eligibility) and we will send you a Notice of Admission.
How do I change my application for admission to a future quarter?
If you choose not to attend Ohio State during the quarter for which you have applied, you may update your application for up to three subsequent quarters without paying another application fee. Current financial documentation is important; if the financial documentation submitted with your original application will be more than one year old prior to the date classes begin for your desired quarter, you will be required to submit a new Affidavit of Support form and bank statement.

I cannot complete my application by the deadline. What should I do?
If you are unable to provide all application materials by the deadline, please notify Undergraduate Admissions. Please notify an international admissions counselor if you wish to change your application for admission to a future quarter or to withdraw your application.
