Hey Buckeyes, I hope you’re all having a great start to the year and enjoyed watching our football team kill it last week against Indiana. I have a lot of faith in this year’s team, and I hope you all do, too. I am writing today to share with you something you may already know. ESPN is coming to our campus on Saturday to host […]
Lately, I have been reflecting on my summer internship in regards to what I have learned and how I have grown. I have a few tidbits that I would like to share. 1. You can survive the long days/weeks Before starting this Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. summer internship, I had my doubts. In the past, I had only ever worked half […]
We have two weeks left in the year, and that has me thinking “wow, where has the time gone?” Seriously… I can’t believe how fast this year went by, and I am even more shocked that I am already just about halfway done with my time here at Ohio State. This realization has me wondering if I am truly making the most of my time […]
The holidays (aka Super Bowl Sunday) always tend to make people crave home. Maybe it was the food that wasn’t prepared in a dining hall, the presence of friends and family, or the utterly depressing thought of football season being over that had me missing my wonderful family. This begs the topic: how is life so far from home?
Finally, after running around like a chicken with my head cut off for a few weeks, my life is kind of coming back to normal. This is because recruitment is over! About a year ago, I joined Delta Delta Delta, which is a sorority on campus. I am so happy with my decision to go Greek! I’ve met so many wonderful people through this organization. […]
I hope everyone had a fun and relaxing winter break! I am currently in denial that homework, studying, and dining hall food are right around the corner. I rang in 2017 in Phoenix, Arizona, along with Urban Meyer and the Ohio State Buckeyes football team (what else would I do?). We all know that the game did not exactly go the way we all expected it […]
“We’ll still beat Michigan,” said everyone, following the Penn State loss. “This loss changes nothing,” said everyone, following the Penn State loss. Well, here we are, two games away from the end of the regular season, realizing that loss changed everything.
When most people think about Ohio State, they think of the football powerhouse, the NFL draft picks, the Shoe, Urban Meyer, the FIRST champion of the College Football Playoff system, and maybe a scandal that involved a tattoo shop. As a Sport Industry major and a basketball nut, I want people to think about the Ohio State basketball team too.
It’s no secret to anyone who knows me that sports are a way of life for me. Recently, I decided that I would make an effort to watch the Buckeyes play at every Big Ten campus. I may be biased, but I have been to four Big Ten football stadiums so far (Ohio State, Iowa, Penn State, and Wisconsin), and Ohio Stadium without a doubt […]
Everyone asks me why I would come to Ohio State all the way from San Diego, and my answer is usually "because the only thing I love more than the beach is college football." I always have candy somewhere in my room and online shopping is the disease I may never recover from. My hobbies include watching sports, going out with friends, dramatic crime TV show marathons and making too many brackets during March Madness.
