Gettin’ Wilde
Tuesday, May 21st, 2013I’ve been having an exciting this summer preparing for my role in Evolution Theatre Company’s modern day production of Oscar Wilde’s A Woman of No Importance. We have been working since mid-april and it opens tomorrow (!). Columbus has a vibrant theatre scene and I’m excited to perform with all of these talented actors.
It doesn’t quite feel like summer without a smoothie
Wednesday, May 15th, 2013I’m alive, and i’ve been busy. I have a lot of exciting things to share about what I’m doing, now, what I’m doing this summer, and what I’m doing next year. But first things first. SUMMMER! It hasn’t quite hit me (mostly because I’m taking 2 mayterm classes…) but the regular academic year at Ohio [...]
InTransit
Wednesday, April 10th, 2013Hi, remember me? I’m still alive, but it’s been a while. You could say that I’ve been in transit … just always running somewhere. I could fill up an entire blog entry about all the awesome stuff I’ve been doing this semester, but it would end up just being a list (and those are pretty boring…) In [...]
I’m feeling thoughtful
Friday, February 15th, 2013Not like being nice, mind you, but rather full of thought. Like thinking. I haven’t slept much all week (my procrastinating-self’s fault…), so now that Ihave a semi-normal amount of sleep under my belt, my brain is on rapid-fire mode. The culprit: “Don’t ask yourself what the world needs. Ask yourself what makes you come alive [...]
Spring Break is not for awhile, But…
Saturday, January 26th, 2013I know what I’m doing! Through the college of Arts and Sciences, there is a spring break trip to Los Angeles in order to network with OSU alumni in the various industries that are in LA.
Through the lens
Monday, January 21st, 2013I remember this in my Craft of Acting class that I took last year: “To Observe is to disturb.” I love photography, but in some ways I feel that by capturing a moment, you also kind of ruin it. I have to decide whether a moment is something that I’d enjoy, or photograph (otherwise I’d [...]
Here comes the Boom!
Monday, January 14th, 2013What’s in store for this semester, FTK! (Buckeyethon, for the kids!) and more. No, I haven’t seen that movie (although I recently saw silver linings playbook—so good!), but this semester makes me feel “like a bomb before explosion” (so obsessed with that Adele song right now!). Now that I’ve probably used enough parentheticals and [...]
Looking onward: Senior spring round 1
Friday, January 11th, 2013Blogging is like exercising… Once you get in the groove, you keep doing it, but once you stop, it’s really hard to pull yourself back to the keyboard (or treadmill). Not like my winter break was very blog-worthy… I was sick the whole time. I was coming down with a cold when I went back [...]
“How to Return Home”
Monday, November 19th, 2012We’re now getting to that time of year that students are returning home for the holidays (whether you’re venturing back for Thanksgiving, or just for winter break. a little musical interlude… (read on to find out more!)
All you need is spirit…
Thursday, November 15th, 2012a new twist on the Beatles song…
Exciting announcements
Tuesday, November 13th, 2012These past few weeks were crazy productive. And hectic. but here are some of the highlights that I can share…
Behind the scenes… literally
Tuesday, October 16th, 2012As I’m typing this, a performance of one of OSU’s fall Theatre productions is running (it’s nearly at intermission!).
0101010000000_ _ _ _ _ (The story of my life)
Thursday, October 4th, 2012(if anyone was wondering, digital data is made from a series of zeros and ones, so ….) I’ve been having some hardware issues. My laptop starting having some issues (it was as slow as molasses…), so I tried to be a ‘do-it-yourself’-er and google up some solutions. I backed up my hard drive, on my external hard drive and [...]
The Earth without art is “eh”
Sunday, September 23rd, 2012I saw this sentiment on facebook a week ago and it’s been on my mind for ever since. Art is so important to me. Photography, theatre, music, writing, acting, everything, yet I find myself lost in some of my engineering classes because I’m missing the art which is definitely making my life a little, well, for a [...]
Food Glorious Food!
Sunday, September 9th, 2012There is nothing so great as to make yourself a delicious meal, and eat it. This morning, I made myself a poached egg (if you have never tried a poached egg, you are missing out!! watch the movie Julie & Julia if you don’t believe me) on top of a piece of toast with turkey [...]
