Summer at Ohio State

Written by    May 23, 2015

Before I signed up for summer classes at Ohio State, I kept hearing about how empty campus is over the summer, but I am actually loving it so far! There are still PLENTY of people–I doubt this campus is ever really empty–and the fact that it’s less crowded is actually a welcome change in my opinion. My classes are smaller, it’s easier to find a […]

100 Acts in 100 Minutes

Written by    Mar 26, 2015

When I first heard about 100 Acts in 100 Minutes at one of my first Boo Radley Society meetings, I thought the event sounded easy. I thought “oh, it’s the whole group doing 100 acts in the allotted time, no problem.” Actually, it’s the goal for every single individual in Boo at the event. So if there were 14 people, the goal was 1,400 acts […]

Spring Break 2k15

Written by    Mar 23, 2015

Remember the list of goals for spring break I established in my last post? If not, click here and catch up! Yeah. I accomplished all of those goals. Plus a few more. Without further ado, here’s what I did over spring break (with minimal commentary so you can enjoy the pictures). Spring Break 2k15 in Naples, Florida (and other surrounding areas).

The S- Word

Written by    Mar 17, 2015

FINALLY! If you go to Ohio State, live in Columbus, or Ohio, or the Mid-West, or the eastern half of the United States, you know what I mean when I say, “FINALLY!” One word: Spring. Let me whisper it into your ear (or at least imagine that I am) Spring….Spring…Spring… Beautiful, isn’t it? After a winter with temperatures at a near constant of 10 degrees […]

Goals for the rest of the semester

Written by    Mar 9, 2015

Now that the weather is finally warming up and we’ve passed the halfway point of the semester, I’ve started thinking about the goals I want to accomplish for the remainder of the semester. Besides for the obvious things, like getting good grades, here’s what I’ve come up with:

Summer’s heat or winter’s cold: or a list of positives in spite of frosty temperatures

Written by    Mar 3, 2015

It’s getting cold here in Columbus, Ohio; and I will be honest, I have definitely complained about trekking to class. But complaining isn’t going to keep me warm. So I’ve decided to make a list of the reasons winter is actually kinda awesome. 1. Campus is pretty beautiful in the snow. Especially the oval.

Freezing Friday Blowing Bubbles!

Written by    Feb 27, 2015

So here’s a super date idea: wake up your girlfriend/boyfriend around 6 a.m. (they will grumble), tell them to bundle up because it’s -4 outside (they will be drowsy and increasingly crabby), and march them out into the frigid morning air (they will reconsider dating you in the first place). But fret not! Although the date has been rocky up to this point, once they see that you’re […]

Car2go Adventures: Valentine’s Day Edition

Written by    Feb 16, 2015

Since Saturday was the official day of romance, my boyfriend Brian and I decided it would be fitting to go out to dinner somewhere nice (“Nice:“ Anywhere that doesn’t accept blocks or BuckID cash). After engaging in the eternal struggle of finding somewhere just fancy enough to be a special treat, but not too fancy that you leave feeling hungry and poor, we settled on a 4:30 […]

Like a small child on Christmas Eve; a sick patient in a doctor’s office; an awkward high school student at his prom date’s house talking to his or her parents; or the moment before the ball is punted to start an football game, I am waiting. Why? Well, let me tell you.

Six Reasons to Love Snow

Written by    Jan 6, 2015

I woke up this morning to a BEAUTIFUL sight–a snow-covered backyard! Since school doesn’t start up again for nearly a week, I plan to take this time to enjoy all the wonderful things about snow, and to keep reminding myself of all those wonderful things about snow so that when commute-time does come, I have a whole arsenal of positivity to get me through the […]
