Women Empowerment through Film

Written by    Mar 26, 2018

I saw Black Panther just one week after its initial release. Clearly, you’d think I’d have to pay an outrageous price for my movie ticket…WRONG! I purchased my ticket for only $3! How is this possible?? Well, the Office of Student Life has an awesome program called D-Tix (Discount Ticket Program).   Through D-Tix, Ohio State students have the ability to purchase reduced priced tickets […]

Opportunities for Creativity

Written by    Mar 8, 2018

Being a creative person with a busy schedule is proving to be a very hard task. With assignments, projects, papers, and work deadlines, I rarely find time to create art just for myself. But I’ve found some spots for creativity in the strangest places.

Fall Semester Memories

Written by    Dec 15, 2017

Since I’m graduating in the spring, I just finished my last undergraduate fall semester ever. I can’t believe how fast the time went! Fall semester is so much fun because everyone has so much energy for the new school year, and I was just thinking about some favorite memories from each of my fall semesters, so I wanted to share them with you.

Saturday Nights in Columbus

Written by    Nov 6, 2017

The biggest question I get now that I am a Buckeye is: “So do you just go to football games every weekend? Is that all you Ohio State students do?” Granted, to an outsider, this may seem to be a fair question. Ohio State continuously is ranked amongst the biggest football schools with the most dedicated fans. Who can blame us? Urban Meyer’s name is […]

I stole my friend’s camera because I’m that kind of friend. I’ve always wanted to capture my favorite spots at Ohio State so I went around and took pictures on a warm Sunday evening. Here are my favorites:

College Misconception #1: You’ll Have No Time

Written by    Oct 12, 2017

In high school, teachers, adults and even older students seemed to fill our brains with warnings and college horror stories. Lots of conversations in high school contained sentences like “enjoy your time now, you won’t have it in college” or “you aren’t prepared for how much you’ll have to do in college”. I made the common assumption that no one has time in college, and […]

Self Reflection Blog-Ception

Written by    Oct 12, 2017

(Really, that could be the title of any of my blogs.) Ahh, Fisher. Fisher College of Business. That sweet, sweet haven; the home of baby CEOs and investment bankers. Cool, cool, cool stuff. Fisher, forming its baby CEOs and bankers and networkers – they’re the people on the path to success, right? They are learning all that it takes to be on that path of […]

No Car, Plenty of Adventure

Written by    Sep 18, 2017

As I start the ignition, a thrilling sense of adrenaline courses through my veins. The feeling of adventure is ignited and I can only think of the hundreds of places I can go. The world feels infinite, and I am just a speck bound for endless discovery. In my hometown of Akron, Ohio, I began to take this feeling for granted. As I begin to […]

Mom, Dad, Professor- I’m an Introvert

Written by    Sep 12, 2017

Breathe in, breathe out. Happy two weeks into the new school year! Being a sophomore now, I feel significantly older and wiser than my old freshman self. The key changes between last year and this year: I know what I’m doing with my life much better now, I talk more, and I have a lot more friends. Whew. Glad those concerns are out the window. […]

The Great Gateway

Written by    Aug 28, 2017

One of the things I’ve been appreciating since coming back to Ohio State is being walking distance from the Gateway Film Center. The Gateway Film Center shows many of the movies that regular movie theaters do, but they also show many independent films and documentaries, and host special events like Sensory Friendly movies where the volume is lowered and the lights are kept on.
