I’ve been having an exciting this summer preparing for my role in Evolution Theatre Company’s modern day production of Oscar Wilde’s A Woman of No Importance. We have been working since mid-april and it opens tomorrow (!). Columbus has a vibrant theatre scene and I’m excited to perform with all of these talented actors.
In a previous post, I mentioned the numerous applications I filed for summer employment. Turns out, half have come through and I now find myself spending the majority of my days back on campus.
Ever try to imagine what it would be like to live a day in the life of Ohio State football hero and Columbus’ Christ-figure, Urban Meyer? Well, I did, and I think that day would look something like this:
I KNOW you remember this from my blog last year: And I know you remember you were pretty upset that you missed this kind of humor in action. Well not this year! Because you are cordially invited to the 8th Annual OSU Divalicious Drag Show!
I’m no fan of April Fools Day, mostly because I’m terribly gullible, but I do appreciate some of the pranks that are deployed on this fateful day. Google always has some especially hilarious hijinks this day each year. So instead of sharing all of my best pranks with you guys, here are some of my [...]
I do not voluntarily watch March Madness, nor do I ever talk about it. On campus, however, it is nearly impossible to get away from the basketball / Aaron Craft frenzy.
Earlier this week as I was walking around campus from class to class, the misty rain slowly soaked me and the cold hit my face with a vengeance. As I looked around, the sky was murky gray, all of the tree branches stood bare, the muddy ground held puddles, the wind blew from every direction, [...]
As part of my English 2367.02 class, our teacher took us on a field trip…to the Billy Ireland Cartoon Library & Museum. You heard right. At THE Ohio State University, we have a Cartoon library.
I recently stumbled upon the “Best of Columbus” awards from ColumbusAlive magazine. It’s basically when people vote for the “Best Of’s” in Columbus. The categories range from Best Restaurant to Best Place for People Watching. In honor of “Best of Columbus,” I thought I’d come up with my own version about Ohio State. Best of Ohio [...]
So I got a ride from a friend of a friend to Cincinnati where I stayed at another friend’s apartment, where we went to the University of Cincinnati and hung out and goofed around. I maybe get chloroformed maybe not, you’ll never know.
This weekend I participated in BuckeyeThon 2013, and it is easily my favorite day at Ohio State so far. For those who don’t know, BuckeyeThon is a 24 hour dance marathon held at the Ohio Union that raises money for fighting pediatric cancer at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. There are two shifts of dancers, one from [...]
If you remember way back in December, I did my first of a series of posts concerning the reasons I wasn’t originally enthused about OSU and how my lack of enthusiasm was mainly based on incorrect assumptions. This is the second in that series.
Not one Buckeye can go through the holiday season without something scarlet or grey under their tree!
Hello fellow/future Buckeyes! The name’s Jordan Boone, I was born and raised in the great state of Texas, and I’m currently a freshman at The Ohio State University! I’m almost at the end of my first semester of college, that means I’ve had plenty of experiences, learned a lot of lessons, and made a lot [...]
If you look outside the window in my dorm room, it doesn’t seem at all like December. Today, the high is 60 degrees and I walked to class in a t-shirt.
