Isn’t it the summer time when you’re supposed to chill by the pool, read a good book, or have a good old-fashioned cookout with family and friends? When school’s out and all your worries just melt away in the sun? Can someone show me the sun??

Did you know that those aren’t the actual words said when they roll to shoot a film? I know this because … I WAS ON MY FIRST FILM SET THIS PAST WEEKEND. And it sounded a little differently than we’ve all been told.
And I am not talking about Texas Roadhouse, though I enjoy that job on a different level. I’m talking about using cameras, interviews, and the fast-paced world of television to capture and tell real stories.
How’s THAT for alliteration?
I can’t get anywhere and my dreams are tinted with images of dirt, wire fences and the color orange. Will it ever end? Or at least stop growing?
SSP, my scholarship program, held a “ball” themed A Night in Old Hollywood this past Saturday night. And guess where it was? The Shoe! Oh, the title told you? Whoops.
