First Week of Classes Plus OSU Mayhem

 Written by    August 29, 2013

It’s the second Thursday of the academic year, and everyone has a good feel for their schedule now. And by schedule, we mean how much homework will I have to deal with this semester. Not me though, this past week has been filled with events, work, and networking. I want to take a look at this past week and see how far this semester will take me. Hopefully you’ll enjoy the ride!

First, there were a few Ohio State events that really took off. The involvement fair was last Sunday, and it was awesome. I took some pictures for the Newman Center with Buckeye Catholic, and they really capture some great energy.

I had a great time at the involvement fair, since I’m already so involved it was great to spend time actually contributing instead of filling a free bag with free stuff I don’t really need (although I do need a new frisbee…)

But that was fun.

Then I got to go to Buck-i-Frenzy. But I didn’t just go, I worked it for my internship. I am an intern with Trending Sounds, you can read about how I got that internship here. It’s rad.

I worked at the Fusian Sushi booth, and got to take pictures and video. It was SO MUCH FUN. I can’t even begin to tell you how it felt to be in the workforce doing what I love in the best school on the planet.

Here’s a video I made for them that you should check out

It was such a blast.

And to top it all off, the last thing I did this week was go to a wedding. And you know the theme here, I got to work it. I not only did this through my internship, but I got to shadow a professional photographer. She gave me tips, and then I went to work.

I am so happy with where I am going right now.

I have been so blessed this year, and hope you all can follow me this semester as I get to share my internship, work, classes, and adventures.
