Hello Buckeyes! This is your friendly, neighborhood blogger writing to you for the first time in 2014! I hope you are all as excited as I am about this year, especially this semester. While “spring” may not quite describe the weather for the next few months, students across the campus of The Ohio State University are back in action as the first full week of classes comes to an end.
As you may have heard, OSU’s main and secondary campuses were closed last Monday and Tuesday due to the “polar vortex” sweeping the nation. While I may not have experienced negative temperatures or several inches of snow in my hometown of Houston, the shift in weather delayed my flight back to Columbus for a few days. But now that the weather is stable (or as stable as it can get in Ohio) students and campus have returned to normal activities.
As for me, I have a lot of plans for this fresh semester. This semester will see me balancing school, my new job on campus, along with the clubs and organizations I’m a part of. To make this easier,I’ve created a list of goals to keep me motivated and have something to strive for. High on this list is my desire to become a better writer and provide the readers (you guys) with better content than before. With all that said, I hope everybody enjoys the three day weekend ahead of us!
