Greek Life

 Written by    January 30, 2017

Finally, after running around like a chicken with my head cut off for a few weeks, my life is kind of coming back to normal. This is because recruitment is over!

About a year ago, I joined Delta Delta Delta, which is a sorority on campus. I am so happy with my decision to go Greek! I’ve met so many wonderful people through this organization.

This year was my first time being on the recruiting end. The days were long and exhausting. Not to mention they required me to function before 9 a.m., which is not one of my strong suits. But it all became worth it on bid day, when we welcomed 62 amazing new membersĀ into our home!

The best part of Greek life at Ohio StateĀ is that it’s not an overwhelming presence. Most of my friends who I met before going through recruitment didn’t go Greek, and I know that regardless I will still be friends with many of those people for the rest of my life. Being in a sorority is a small aspect of my life that has enabled me to meet new people, give back to the community, get to know myself better, and to have a great time!

So whether you join Greek life, or if you don’t, that’s great. Ohio State is wonderful because there are so many ways to get involved and build your own smaller community on campus.

And on another note… Does anyone else miss football already?
