Things To Do When Football Season Is Over

 Written by    February 1, 2018

Football season may be over, but there’s still tons of fun stuff to do on campus and in Columbus. Here’s just a few:

  • Hockey Games

I went to the Ohio State/*ichigan hockey game at the Schott last week, and it was a lot of fun to watch. Plus, students got coupons for free chicken fingers from Cane’s and free BigMacs for McDonald’s.

  • Concerts

There are so many big names who come to Columbus, so you’ll definitely have the opportunity to see some of your favorites.

  • Sports at the RPAC

I went to the RPAC with some friends a few weeks ago, and we played a game called wallyball (like volleyball, but on a racquetball court). It was weird and I don’t think I was exceptionally talented at the game, but we had a blast!

  • Columbus Museum of Art

If you’re less athletic and more artistic (I’m not too gifted in either field), go check out the Museum of Art! They sometimes offer free admission to students on certain days. I went on one of these days, taking a shuttle bus from the Union to the museum. As a bonus, the museum also had free cookies.

  • Gateway Film Center

Go see that movie you’ve been dying to see! It’s just a short walk from campus.

Even if it’s just exploring the city of Columbus for a weekend, there are still so many fun things to do when it isn’t football season!
