Buckeye Women’s Lax Defeat Rutgers

 Written by    March 29, 2018

As someone who loves sports, competition, and athletics, I get hyped for Buckeye sporting events.

Friday I went to a women’s lacrosse game for the first time, which was AWESOME. It was a really good game, and we beat Rutgers 11-9. GO BUCKS!

One of my favorite parts of high school was playing lacrosse, and being at the game reminded me how much I’ve missed it! I swear lax has to be the most interesting, fast-paced sport on the face of the earth. It’s so much fun to watch.

I went to the game with three of my friends, most of whom had never played or watched lax before. They quickly became enthralled in game and were surprised at how exciting it was.

The women’s lacrosse team played at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium, across the Olentangy River by the Schott. If you’ve never been over to that area, I highly recommend checking it out. I was super impressed by the athletic facilities!

The thing that surprised me most about the game was the fans of the opponents. It reminded me of those few immature parents who would yell at the refs during high school sporting events. One Rutgers mom in the stands kept yelling, “Is there an O under your shirt, ref?!”

I’m thankful for our Buckeye parents and fans, who are truly the best in the land! (TBFITL)
