And now a second to relax.
By Alex | April 29, 2012
I know I was slacking on the blogging a wee bit the past few weeks because I was swamped with midterms, papers, and possibly anything else you could think of that would take up the rest of my free time. But now I am back and ready to share with you about the most relaxing weekend of my spring quarter.
Thursday is when all of the madness ended. I took my last midterm, my paper was handed in, my stats labs were finished, and I was ready to collapse on my futon and watch TLC for the rest of the night. But instead, I had to go into work. I woke up Friday, went to ballet, went to stats, AND THEN finally crashed on my futon.
It was probably the best 27 minutes of my week.
But I knew I had to wake up and go to Target because I was in desperate need of conditioner. You know how it always runs out before the shampoo. So aggravating. I came back, unpacked, and watched around 4 episodes of the show Arrested Development on Netflix. I am sadly addicted and I think everyone should watch it so we can all share our addiction together.
It’s hilarious. I mean Jason Bateman is the star.
I again went into work for the closing shift at Sloopy’s from 11:45pm-5am so when I came home I was struggling not to fall asleep in the elevator on the way up to my floor. I didn’t wake up until 2:30 pm the next day.
TWO THIRTY. WHAT!?!?!? That’s half of my day. The worst part of it all was knowing I had to go to work for the THIRD time in 3 hours. All I thought to myself was, “Oh clock, why are you lying to me right now?” But when I came back, I did some therapeutic laundry and rolled into bed at about 1:30 meaning I was awake that day for only 11 hours.
I think that’s Webster’s approved definition of lazy.
BUT NO FEAR! I WOKE UP AT 10:30 TODAY! I had a lovely Garden Vegetable Skillet from Sloops, did a little shopping on High Street, got Coldstone, and finally saw The Lucky One. And I cried, thank you Zac Efron. But now I’m here, and doing homework in the lobby of my dorm eating a salad, and internally sobbing over the fact that it’s 8:20 and my Sunday and weekend are ending.
So, that’s my semi-relaxing, semi-not relaxing weekend. Hope everyone’s midterms went fabulously and everyone enjoys the nice weather this upcoming week!
XOXO,
Alex
