Korea and Shaving Cream
By Lily | May 27, 2012
It’s been an eventful couple of days! Getting a shaving cream pie thrown at my face, my first ever visa application, the KSA/KISO Korean Culture Show…

That’s a picture of me pre-pie.
On Thursday we had our Senior Send-Off for InterVarsity, the Christian group I’m involved with, and all the seniors volunteered to be “auctioned off” for a shaving cream pie (!) to raise money for scholarships for our chapter camp at the end of the quarter.
Yeah, no mercy. But I had a good time, as you can see. :)
Then on Friday I turned in my first ever visa application to visit Korea this summer.

So much stuff to mail. And my heart fluttered as I sealed the envelope with my passport and permanent residency card and handed them to the post office worker.
Other Korea-related event of the weekend was the Korean Student Association/Korean International Student Organization annual culture show, which I went to with a bunch of friends from our IV International Student Bible Study.

This is a performance of the kayageum, a traditional Korean instrument.
And then a bridal shower yesterday and a pool party tonight. Phew! Lots to do but it’s been fun. :)
