I love to PACK.

As my short & sweet summer winds down to a premature end, I’ve gotta start preparing myself for my sophomore year at The Ohio State University. This includes ordering textbooks, picking up some new clothes, shopping for school supplies, and my favorite part of all…packing!For some unknown reason, I just love packing.
Ever since I was younger, I would get excited at the prospect of getting my suitcase out and determining exactly what I wanted to pack for a week away from home. Coming to college for my freshman year was like the mother-load of all packing excursions…as a child who never went to sleep-away camp, I had never experienced getting to pack anything but clothes and a toothbrush and toothpaste.
Now, I get to pack clothes, shoes, food, room decorations, bedding, school supplies (another weird thing I simply love to do- buy school supplies!), and all sorts of fun knick knacks!
I know many of you reading this are thinking, This chick is crazy, She needs to get a life! There are millions of things I’d rather do than have to pack up all my stuff. Which is a legitimate train of thought. I have yet to find someone who shares my nerdy love of packing. If it’s you, let me know! We can discuss the intricacies of folding clothes to achieve the greatest possible capacity, compartmentalizing boxes of stuff, and proudly sitting on our suitcases to get them to zip, packed with 2-3 times as many things as the average person could fit in the same space :P. Hehe.
For real though, I’m planning my packing as we speak. I’ve got it down to 6 separate lists (don’t judge – they were on small paper!) that break down into School Supplies, Room Decorations, Shower Stuff, Clothes, Cleaning Stuff, and Miscellaneous. As soon as I feel that they’re as finished as they will get, I’ll post them on here! If you’re a soon-to-be freshman, it may be helpful to have a reference of what I actually use in my daily life as a college student at OSU. Stay posted, and enjoy this hot summer day!
