    Photo Entry: Scotland

    By Ana | August 17, 2012

One of my sorority sisters who graduated in 2011 is nearly finished with her Master’s degree from the University of Aberdeen in Scotland. One weekend, I flew north to visit her and she showed me around Aberdeen and Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland. Here are some photos from Edinburgh!

The Queen stays in this castle when she visits Scotland.

This cathedral tower was one of the first things I saw when I got off the train in Edinburgh!

Although we didn’t go inside, I had to take a picture of this restaurant’s awesome name.

This is one of many governmental buildings in Edinburgh. Just beautiful!

This was my lunch on the day we visited Edinburgh–haggis! It’s a traditional Scottish dish made from a sheep’s heart, liver, and lungs. It sounds gross, I know–but it was actually pretty good! After all, what’s the point of traveling if you aren’t going to try something new?
