    Change

    By Cameron | September 30, 2012

Starting this year I’ve noticed a significant change in myself, from the start of my senior year until now. And it’s been a long time, but I’m definitely a better person because of everything.

I personally think the ending of high school and first year of college are huge monumental milestones that happen right after each other, which may be really hard for some people. My Senior year of high school and first year here were emotional roller coasters of that likes that I’ve never seen before. Ending an era of your life and starting a new one is in no way easy. But it’s possible. Personally, thats one of the reason’s why I came to college. To break out of my comfort zone and to see if I can experience something else.

And looking back during my freshmen year and even senior year, Ohio State has been increasingly present in my life. From all the amazing organizations that have helped me and my family choose Ohio State to the great people apart of FYE (First Year Experience) and the entire campus that made me decide that Ohio State was the place that I wanted to stay.

I never expected such one-on-one attention from a public university this size, but to my surprise, I would receive individualized catalogs in the mail to personal phone calls about any questions I had about Ohio State or Ohio in general or how was my college search going. These people that didn’t know me, but they took a personal investment in me, and I realized that I wouldn’t be just a number.

I would be lying if I said this period is easy, but I would also be lying if I said it was impossible. For Seniors, things will be different, but you’ll mange and you’ll be the better person once things are over. And for first years, keep going, and trying your best. Everyone you know was once in your shoes and we know you’re doing everything that you can.

I may not know a lot, but I don’t know where I would be without Ohio State today.
