Time with the Academy of Arts has flown by! A month ago the interns were split into two teams, and a couple of weeks ago my team put on our first production: Solus.
The story revolved around a sibling group of three – Leonora, the eldest sister, Kiran, the middle brother, and Jalin, the youngest sister – and Jalin’s friend Orlo. Their parents were lost to the Light, and all three reacted differently. Kiran grew angry and defiant toward Light, while Leonora searched for an alternate, false light to protect her. Jalin sank into depression. In the drama, Orlo and Jalin are rescued out of darkness and despair by the Light.
I was blessed to play the part of Jalin, while my team members Melissa, Jonah, and Stephen played Leonora, Kiran, and Orlo. Solus is the production we will be putting on when we go on seminar this fall. What is seminar? That’s when a team travels to a high school or home school group and ministers to the students while teaching them how to put on a professional production in a week.
My team just got home from our first seminar yesterday, and I’ll be posting about what that was like later this week when I get pictures from our team leader.
Meanwhile, here are some pictures from Solus. Enjoy!
