My Childhood Has Officially Ended

After waiting for 4 years, the last Harry Potter movie finally came out in theaters. The Harry Potter saga wasn’t the only thing that ended in that theater; my childhood also came to its dramatic conclusion. I still probably won’t grow up though…

So now that I work in a lab on campus, my favorite part of documentaries is all the shots of RESEARCH: artistically blurry close-ups of beakers, scientists walking purposefully down hallways in white lab coats, and the SERIOUS SCIENTIST FACE. Everyone is very serious when they do research. Obviously.

an apple by any other name…

As my first time really living on my own, away from home, not in a dorm, it’s been pretty interesting to go grocery shopping and actually make meals for myself. I’ve always enjoyed cooking, but I’ve never really had to cook.I also pack my lunch for work. From Osnabrück I headed down to Como, Italy to visit another best friend from Ecuador named Federica (but feel free to call her Fede).  Fede lives very close to George Clooney.  She also lives very close to the most beautiful lake that might exist.  The Lago di Como was formed by a melted glacier, so it dips into a valley between beautifully green mountains.
