University Exploration
Not all students at Ohio State start in a degree-granting unit. Those who wish to explore various programs before deciding on a major may select an exploring area in which they will receive special advising based on their general area of interest. Most areas also offer an “undecided” option for students who wish to explore opportunities offered by that particular area.
